About Steam Engine
Steam Engine is revolutionising the way Startups are designing and implementing their GTM strategy. We bridge the gap between building the product and building revenue. We call this Revenue as a Service. Steam Engine was founded in April 2021 by a team of very experienced founders and professionals with multiple exits and having worked for global technology companies.Steam Engine is powered by Winning by Design and the Black Nova Group.
About the Role
Steam Engine helps startups with their GTM strategies and playbooks. Then it is time to roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty to boost their revenues. That’s your time to shine and make a true impact.
- Have a front seat to the development of GTM strategies and playbooks (and take on opportunities to contribute in relevant strategy development exercises)
- Work very closely with 3-4 different startups to help boost their revenues and accomplish their monthly targets
- Generate business pipeline through inbound and outbound opportunities Be the first point of contact and build strong relationships with prospective customers
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and what would take to use a given solution; Become their trusted go-to person
- Document customers’ needs and develop continuous feedback loops with the product development and leadership teams
About You
- You have some experience in marketing, sales, operations or similar roles preferably in the tech industry or you want to break into startups in a GTM related role, you don’t have much previous experience but have a tonne of passion, ability to learn fast and willingness to work hard to overcome any challenges
- Your energy and passion make you stand out from the crowd
- Building relationships comes natural and you are all about meeting new people
- You are resourceful; you know that in startups you have to figure out a lot on your own and that gets you super pumped
- You are very motivated and regardless of any obstacles in your way you will find a way to deliver
- You are a fast learner; things you don’t know don’t scare you nor discourage you. You keep learning every day
- You can attend the training course during the 25th October – 3rd November 2021 period (requires 4 hr attendance during business hrs and some at home exercises)

Time for interviews. The top 10 applicants will be contacted for a 45’ interview. You should expect behavioural and situational questions since we want to better understand your experience, motivation and culture fit. The top 4 shortlisted candidates will move to step 3 and will be informed by Tuesday the 30th of November.
Congratulations! You are amongst the top 4 candidates for the Revenue Development Manager at Steamengine! You are invited to a 7 day training programme delivered by Winning By Design instructors. The cost of the programme is ~$5,000 AUD but we are offering this to you for free. All you have to do is attend all the courses. See the detailed program below

Final offer(s). We will make a full time job offer to at least one out of the 4 shortlisted candidates (It is very likely that we will be in a position to do more than one offers). In any case, for the candidates that won’t get an offer from us, we will introduce them to a number of companies in our network that have opportunities for them.

Terms and Conditions
Shortlisted applicants will be offered a conditional contract of employment with Steamengine before the kick off the training course. Applicants will have to agree on the conditional contract before being able to participate in the training course for free. Steam Engine will activate the contract of employment for some candidates after the completion of the training course. All other applicants will be free to seek employment elsewhere.
